Yellow Alert issued for heat for 25th and 26th of July

The Civil Protection Alhaurin de la Torre reported that the Agencia Estatal de Meteorología has issued a yellow alert for the counties of the Guadalhorce valley and the Costa del Sol for friday 25th and on Saturday 26th July for high temperatures which are expected to reach 38 celsius.

It is recommended that you drink plenty of fluids, do not expose yourself to the sun between 12 and 18 hours and shelter in the cool especially the elderly, children and the sick.

The high temperatures increase the danger of fire, so they reiterate the bans on fires in forest areas, and throwing cigarette butts on land susceptible to fires.
